Are you always on your guard and can't put your finger on it?

Racial battle fatigue is different from typical occupational stress. “It is a response to the harrowing mental and emotional conditions that result from being confronted with racism on a daily basis.” (Smith, 2004)

In my shiatsu practice I help BIPOC femme, enby, trans people and women with these specific stress-related complaints to prevent them from leading to burnout or worse.


Shiatsu is a Japanese massage technique that is given over the clothes. The recipient lies on a futon on the floor. Shiatsu therapists work on the meridians. Ki, life energy in Japanese, flows through the meridians. Ki is always moving. Ki transports nutrition, fluids and information. The circulation and quality of the Ki therefore has a direct influence on how we feel mentally and physically, how we behave. By means of pressure with the fingers and mild stretching, the energetic system is opened to promote a healthy feeling.
